A Tiny House for Under $1,500

This video shows how Rob Greenfield built a tiny house for under $1,500 using nearly 100% repurposed materials while creating only 30 pounds of trash. It is a work in progress and is primarily designed as a guide to help others who are trying to achieve something similar, not as a tour. The ideas presented could be used to built much larger projects as well.

He has written a blog to accompany this video that goes deeper into what is discussed. RobĀ  is an adventurer, activist, and humanitarian for a sustainable and just world. He donates 100% of his media income to grassroots nonprofits.

  1. As a retired builder with over 50 years of experience in standard buildings, timberframe, strawbale and cob buildings, I found this video to be a painful experience. This is NOT a service to any community. The alternative building world has many great ideas and methods which should be considered, but this is just mindless nonsense.

  2. Great to see someone move forward on a tiny home
I must say that $1500 for what is really a shed is high in cost

But again I praise his efforts
More success t him on his nest project
