“This small home looks like something a hobbit would live in and we can’t get enough of it! It’s built by TKP Architects out of Golden, Colorado who are known for their interior design and award-winning architecture. Looking through these pictures, it’s easy to see why!
The home is nestled into a grassy hill and surrounded by beautiful trees with a stone pathway leading to the door.
Just take a look at this entryway! The round door, the stonework, the wood! It’s so perfect and looks like something straight out of a fairytale.
Once your inside, the magic just continues. The fireplace is surrounded by stone and the warm wooden floors and exposed beams give a nice rustic touch. The light green built-ins are a great accent, too!”

Thanks to Richard for this tip. My main comment is yes this home super beautiful and built to last hundreds of years. Just realize stone construction is super slow hard work. Plan on 5-10 years or even more of backbreaking work unless you can afford a large workforce. A more realistic option for most people is to incorporate stonework around prominent areas such as the entry and fireplace.
Stone facing on the foundation is another good alternative to building an all stone house.
