This company is gathering pine needles from an invasive species, combining with sawdust and making briquettes as a replacement for coal.
“India produces millions of tons of waste each year in agriculture and forestry. But this biomass contains much more than just rubbish. That’s something groups in northern India have realized too. They’re now producing briquettes from the biomass and selling them to local brick kilns.”
Coconut Shell Briquettes
“Wood is the main source of energy in Cambodia, which has resulted in widespread deforestation. In response, French NGOs have developed an alternative – charbriquets made from coconut shells and dried organic waste. The fuel does not use chopped lumber – giving it a clear advantage. The briquets are inexpensive and burn longer than wood. Factory manager Carlo Figa Talamanca who took over the company from his former employers now wants to reach a wider market, He is working with a French aid group that turns students into a sales force.”

I wonder which system is most efficient?
most of biomass wastes from forest and agricultural could be raw materials for briquettes. what you need is binder and some equipment, like mixer, crusher, carbonizer, briquetting press, etc. briquetting press manufacturer supplier

There are lots more videos like this by DW. It seems German machinery and equipment manufacturers are behind these alternative energy systems. Local communities get renewable energy and the German companies benefit from increased sales.
Here’s another example where a citrus juice company has switched from coal to sawdust from local saw mills.

Marvelous. People working in ecological balance for the betterment of themselves, their neighbors and the planet.
This might seem a digression, but the problem we all face is that we’ve been socially engineered into a box of false belief systems we call reality by a handful of individuals over time. So efforts like Natural Building Blog and others are so very important.
One fascinating example of how we arrived at where humanity is today is contained in this report on Rockefeller and his role in shaping society. It’s very interesting and accurate. There’s a lot more to the story but its great as far as it goes.
