This is very interesting. This natural building method is about 10-20 times faster than building with cob even though it is quite similar.

    • Sure, you can add doors and windows. They explain how to do windows. For doors, you have to add the adobe blocks on each side.

  1. This is very interesting. I’m wondering about the structural strength at corners and the shear strength, though. Love to find out more about it. Had a quick look earlier but didn’t come up with much.

    • It seems pretty strong to me. I’d like to try it out and see how strong it is firsthand. There are lots of poor areas without hurricanes and earthquakes where this could work. And, there are simple ways to add additional strength such as a bond beam and roof tie downs.
