Participants will learn the basics of EB, and by the end of the weekend feel ready to begin a small structure by themselves. We will inspect existing buildings, do hands-on demonstrations on how to fill bags, how to lay them, and how to tamp them, and engage in Q & A sessions. Supplemental slide shows and film screenings will complete this full-immersion experience. Freshmen welcome, earthbag experience not required.

Hello,
At the moment I am working as a teacher in upper Bangkok however I am ready to move on and do something I am more motivated towards. I have my bachelors in Environmental Science and have done research in the Florida keys as well as the California Coast. Aside from research I have been involved in sustainable practices; living and gardening, for over 8 years as it has become central to who I am. Continually I left the USA in order to separate myself from the extreme carbon footprint one has there, and this farm is exactly the type of community based sustainability I am looking for. I really am very interested in working alongside environmentalists in Thailand. I am hoping there is some sort of internship, volunteer program or especially work available with you or if you know of any other agencies. Thank you and hope to hear soon!
I taught a weekend workshop down there. They’re a great group. They’re very friendly, dedicated and do outstanding work. Their house is on the cover of my earthbag book because it was the most beautiful house I could find. Email them and drop by for a visit and see what happens. If it doesn’t work out, there are thousands of other groups all over the world. It just takes time and effort to find one that matches what you’re looking for. And as they say, “Let your fingers do the walking.” (a search engine in this case.)
