“In July and August 2013, SECMOL (Students’ Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh) organized apprenticeships on Sustainable Sanitation Systems, Passive Solar Design and Earth Building Construction on its campus in Phey (Leh, Ladakh). Theory classes and practical work were given by Sonam Wangchuk, Sourabh Phadke and Robert Celaire. As part of these apprenticeships, people from different parts of the world learnt hands on how to build a new toilets block in the ladakhi traditional way. This 20 minutes footage created as a volunteer work for SECMOL gives an overview about what it was all about.
