We would like to know where the earthbag training is taking place in Thailand. We live in Chiang Mai, Thailand and have an earth home and are interested in learning more. We have lots of friends/co-workers in Nepal, having worked there for years. We know it’s almost time for the workshop. Hope to hear from you soon!
I’ve added your name to the list. The dates keep changing. We’ll have a workshop when we get a large enough group. I’m in Sakon Nakhon.
Hi Owen,
I am going to start building my new (non-profit)school here in Kep, Cambodia in the next few weeks and I have a few questions for you.
1.) What would you recommend for building here in Kep (Southern coast)- earthbag or earth block? I am leaning towards earth bag construction of our round bungalow housing.
2.) I see you are having a workshop next week for NGO’s working in Nepal. Would it be possible to attend if there is space available? Or can you tell me if there will be another workshop in the near future.
Thanks!!
Both will work. The best building option depends on many variables such as available materials, cultural preferences and local conditions such as hurricanes and earthquakes.
I’ve added your name to the workshop list. The dates keep getting pushed back for various reasons. We waiting to get a large enough group.

I suggest going to the Workshop page at Earthbag Building.com. Contact each major earthbag trainer directly.
Im from Nepal. Is the training to build earthbag house going on in Nepal too?
Scott MacLennan of Her Farm has offered free earthbag training in Nepal.

The main group that was coming just received a generous offer of free training by builders in Nepal. Unless more people get in contact with me soon, the workshop may be postponed until the following weekend.
