I just found this Hobbit House shed by Owl Swamp Natural Builder.
“This was the second project I worked on. It’s a hybrid earthbag, cordwood, and papercrete roof shed with a reciprocal roof. The plaster over the earthbags is earthen, with a lime stabilizer. All the wood, doors, and windows were salvaged. I paid five bucks for the dome skylight at a thrift store.”
oh this is my dream…I would love love to have one of these…
beautiful, thanks for to dream with us. Flavia
This is beautiful! I have looked at hundreds of small houses and this one seems POSSIBLE. Are you willing to share the cost of building this house?
Thank you for the very helpful process images!

I don’t know what they spent, but it’s just a shed. You could build something like this for $500 or so. Take time to find good quality used doors and windows.
Kinda tall for a hobbit house, but love the mix of styles.
Ha ha. Do you want 5′ ceilings?
Fascinating. Saving this to read up on it later. Thanks for posting.
