*These earthbag schools (six built so far since the earthquakes) are being built for the price of a car! The walls go up in about 10 days. The walls on this school are perfectly straight, square, plumb and level just like RCC masonry buildings. Plus, they’re among the top 1% strongest buildings in Nepal in my opinion. Top engineers from Nepal have seen these schools, agree they are very strong and are working with NGOs such as Good Earth Nepal to build more. Also note how the school above was built with volunteers who had no previous earthbag building experience (just my short training last August). Here’s a HUGE thank you to the volunteers who make these projects possible.
