Perhaps that shouldn’t be called a “shower”, but instead be called a “show-her.”
It appears that they do have curtains that can create privacy for the entire porch. So I guess they can shower without frightening the neighbors… or entertaining them… not sure which. I guess that depends on how attractive the people living in the strawbale house are, and how prudish the neighbors are.
I’m not sure how wise it is to have an outdoor shower spouting out from a strawbale wall either. Seems to me that is asking for problems with moldy bales.
I’m a fan of outdoor showers, but I’m not so sure about this particular design.
I lived in an apartment for a few weeks that had an open shower (inside, but open to the apartment). It took me a while to figure out how to use it without flooding out the foyer…
I wonder how many people view the photo Owen posted and do not notice the outdoor shower?
Are guests supposed to take a seat on the couch and watch?
I did a double take yesterday when I saw the shower. They must be way out in nature somewhere.
This is a very cool site to check out. A lot of interesting ideas. Good post Owen.
