My new earthbag book is currently being reviewed by builders, architects and engineers with expertise in earthbag construction. The book should be completed in 2-3 weeks and will include their comments and suggestions. Here’s what people are saying so far:
“Thank you for sending out your book to be reviewed. I think it is so great how inclusive you are making your work and the blog that you update. Thank you for helping to build a thriving earth building community.” Neil, Guiding Star Creations
“Wow! You’ve done an amazing job creating a builder’s resource for creating vertical EB walls. Thank you for all of the hard work and effort that has gone into the creation of this text.”
Here’s a back of the book pitch ;)
“Owen Geiger has put together a wonderful resource for the natural building community. He clearly describes the most up-to-date and best practices for creating earthbag homes that are strong, low cost, and truly sustainable. This book is a must read for anyone considering building their home with nature’s most healthy and abundant building material.” Jeff Bousquet, Holistic Earth Homes
“I just scanned the book, and it looks most excellent! I will go over it in more detail this weekend, but it looks great so far.” Joe Kennedy, Architect, Co-editor Art of Natural Building, Founder and Non-profit Director at Village Renaissance

I can hardly wait for a copy. Who will be distributing it and how much will it cost?
I plan to sell it as an ebook through E-Junkie: http://www.e-junkie.com/
They automate the entire sales process at minimal cost.
A while back I asked readers if they wanted a 50 page book at $15 or a longer version for $20. Everyone (100%) who responded voted for the longer version, so that’s what I went with. It’s currently at 85-86 pages. The book is jam packed with info. It’s information dense. Everything has been summarized so as not to waste space. And there’s currently 175 high resolution photos and computer generated drawings. I’ll explain more when it’s ready for sale.
