We seldom profile log homes because they use so much wood. I’m making an exception for this home since it’s so spectacular. After all, it’s made of wood – a renewable natural resource. In areas where trees are still plentiful and harvested sustainably it might be practical to build a log home with locally available materials.

Yellowstone Traditions is a unique custom home building company. Based out of Bozeman, Montana, we bring our one-of-a-kind craftsmanship to exquisite homes throughout the United States.
Tip: You can learn a lot by studying really nice homes like this. Use the lessons learned on a house you can afford.

  1. They definitely do some beautiful work. But their projects looks a bit overstated (almost like a caricature, in my opinion), rather than really being rustic. I don’t think it’d feel at all cozy, but maybe that’s just because it’s so lavish…

    • Yeah, it’s a bit grand. The cost of furnishings would break the bank. Those big stone fireplaces wouldn’t be cheap either.
