What if you could build your own home with living plants instead of using processed materials that have been shipped half a country away? Well, now you can.

Grow Your Own House by Simone Valez
I am inspired by Patrick Dougherty’s nest houses made of living willow. What a tremendous achievement.
This is AMAZING! I’ve always wanted something like this- since I was little- & just thought that I must be the only one & have too much imagination & too little practicality. Now I stand corrected, & I’m SO glad!
I was surprised to find during my research how popular these structures are. This is a little reported niche market that’s catching on. The most popular structures may be backyard gazebos for shade and entertaining in hot climates. Public structures in parks, schools, etc. are also popular, and would make a great location for weddings and picnics.
Really enjoy the articles and inspirational work of others you present.
I want to build a tree house for the grand sons to play in , so hopefully your pages will give me the inspiration.
Please keep on supporting sustainable ideas.
