  1. In this video it looks like you’re just getting started. I hope you’ve had the satisfaction of harvesting some big bunches of bananas by now. You’re right about wild plants being easier and more nutritious. “Weeds” make up the bulk of the green leafy vegetables we eat, while insects feast on the rest.
Here in NE Thailand we get banana, papaya, mango, jakfruit, starfruit, etc. from our land as well as rice and greens but industrial development is seriously encroaching on our neighborhood so we need to move out and start again farther away from the city influences.

    • Stay tuned for a video coming soon about an amazing garden in Australia. I’m thinking of combining some of their ideas with our forest garden. This will speed up vegetable production.

  2. Oh man. Was that a locust chirping over the top of your voice in the audio?

Wow. Some bug really wanted to become a YouTube singing star.

      • My mistake. Wrong video.

I went to your YouTube channel and started watching videos there.

I was referring to this video.

The “Natural Vocalist” starts around 3:45

Just to be clear. I’m not complaining. I can hear everything you say. I just found it amusing. It’s funny to watch YouTube videos were people get interrupted by a loud jet plane flying overhead, or a motorcycle with no muffler. Seems appropriate for a Natural Food Forest dude to get audio competition from a natural sound source.

        • That’s just ringing in your ears. Hold it. I guess we both have ringing in our ears.

Maybe the insects are happy about all the yummy plants we’re planting (for them, they may presume).

Edit: We sampled our first vegetable from the new garden. We had steamed pumpkin shoots. Very tasty. And very unexpected like you said.

          • What’s that you say? It’s hard to hear you over the bugs.

MAYBE IF WE TRY TYPING A LITTLE LOUDER!!!

DO I WEAR EARRINGS YOU ASK?

WHY NO. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH BUGS IN A FOOD FOREST ANYWAY? BESIDES, MY EARS AREN’T EVEN PIERCED.

  3. Include heirloom and wild plants in your garden or forest garden. They’re much more nutritious than modern hybrids and they’re easier to grow.
