    Can we buy the plans and build one at home?
    Can they transport to Australia or is there someone here licensed to build them?

      • Gary Reysa at Build it Solar is the man! That guy is the best authority on the topic.

        He has performed a lot of testing on various types of panels.

        The pop can type air collectors (very similar to the “downspout collector”) are not particularly great collectors. As strange as it sounds, Gary finds that the popcan and downspout collectors are actually more expensive to build than most other air collectors.

        Window screen is by far the best absorber material for air collectors. More heat collected per surface area, and more heat collected per dollar invested in the collector.
