There is an earthbag building at a hotel in northern Mexico. I travel near there every 3-4 months, so have been able to follow the progress. The last trip it seems to be finished on the exterior, so wanted to grab a photo for you.
They finished the exterior with tiles, and I think it came out amazing. Really nice look. This little cabin/house is in Samalayuca, Chihuahua, Mexico.
I have no details on the construction, other than this is a very sandy area (there are big dunes that are a major tourist attraction within a mile of this building), and within the Chihuahuan desert.
One of these days, I will get some extra time to talk to the builders and find out how they did everything, as I know it will be interesting.”
