Permaculture is an ecological way of thinking and designing human interactions for resilient, sustainable living.
*Resilience is the ability of a material to absorb energy when it is deformed elastically, and release that energy upon unloading.
**Resilience in psychology refers to the idea of an individual’s tendency to cope with stress and adversity. [Resilience is that ineffable quality that allows some people to be knocked down by life and come back stronger than ever.]
Hi,
I’m wondering how many stories the highest superadobe building is?
I’d guess two stories, although it’s hard to say because many people don’t publish their projects on the Internet. It’s difficult to move heavy soil high in the air without machines.
Where can we get bags…?anyone have any for sale..or good websites that have them?please responded.

When I see those cuttings I’m getting scared…
You mean at the windows? Yes, it’s best to have window bucks in place to stabilize the walls. Attach every four courses or so to the bucks with galvanized metal or wood anchors, or wood dowels, rebar pins or bamboo.
Another problem with cutting the bags like that is you can’t radius the corners as easily. I would rather close the ends of the bags or tubes next to the bucks.
Has anyone ever attempted to attach the barbed wire running between bag courses to the window and door bucks?
Perhaps using the old school barbed wire staples used to attach barbed wire fencing to wooden fence posts?
Earth Bagging is the way to go in many cases…
