Rustic By Nature built a pallet greenhouse in Alaska with a rain gutter grow system for watering. It’s very low cost, simple and easy to build.
Watch all five parts to see the entire construction process of building a nice little house with pallets. Search our blog for complete information on building houses and furniture with pallets.
So where is Rex? How did his pallet house turn out? I’d sure like to know. When people send us owner-builder home projects that cost $4/square foot then obviously tons of people will be interested. Most likely Rex’s house is finished and he’s moved on to other things. If Rex happens to see this, please please email me an update of your house.
“Kevin Bentley (www.facebook.com/thepalletcabin) shares his “Pallet Cabin” with us- one he made from recycled and free pallet wood. This cabin, at 12′ by 12′, stands as a great little hunting, guest, or weekending cabin or cottage, or could potentially be used/ converted into a tiny house for full time living. Kevin, based in Georgia, (and a tiny house fan) has many other projects in the works, so be sure to check out his Facebook page, and subscribe!”
Pallets are a great free resource for building low cost houses and furniture. We’ve covered lots of different uses of pallets on our blog – floors, paneling, furniture and even entire houses. Here are three nice kitchens made primarily from recycled pallets.
