The cost of energy keeps going up every year. This means the cost of producing and transporting goods keeps increasing. At some point there’s going to be a tipping point where modern building materials are not affordable. I don’t know when this will happen, but it could happen at any time since fossil fuels are rapidly being depleted [and demand continues to climb]. Building supply centers of the future could look like this, selling minimally processed natural building materials such as wood poles, bamboo, woven bamboo mat, low fired brick, thatch panels and other similar materials.
Naturalhouse’s YouTube channel now with 84 natural building videos.
What a beautiful world it will be when all the building supply centers look similar to this.
Is there any roofing needed to keep these supplies dry? It appears that they are only under a tree canopy.
Thank you!
Some materials are under a simple metal roof (thatch and bamboo panels). Most materials are under a tree canopy because they rotate the stock fairly quickly. The bricks can sit outside with no problems.
