Kelly just created a new page on this blog that anyone can access from the top menu. It simply says “Bulletin Board” and the text on the page reads:
“This is an opportunity for visitors to post their own bulletin board announcements on the Earthbag Building Blog. The way to do this is simply to post your announcement as a comment to this page, so that others might browse these announcements. If you want a direct response from people who read your announcement, be sure to indicate how folks can contact you.”
This is a great way to get some extra help. We expect many more people will post their projects with this method. (The previous Bulletin Board system at EarthbagBuilding.com was cumbersome.) We’ll see. It is the most efficient way — realtime news. Myself or Kelly still have to approve each comment/announcement, but that’s pretty easy and will keep out spam and such. This feature will become increasingly important as earthbag grows in popularity, so keep an eye on this page to locate projects near you and get some hands-on experience for free and help others out.
This was an excellent idea. I will try to keep up with it by reposting stuff from here to the Earthbag Building Blog Fan Page on facebook.
