BACK TO EARTH IS BACK TO HOME

Land is the primary material with which man began to build their shelters where protection is a material that inevitably connects us with our source. Here was the quintessential building material throughout the whole story. It comes down to execution use housing, has also been used for the construction of fortresses, walls, public and religious buildings to entire cities raised ground. From the houses of Pompeii, through the Great Wall of China, the Great Wall of Chan Chan in Peru, the Sun Pyramid in Teotihuacan, Temple de la Isleta Pueblo in New Mexico, the Great Mosque of Djenne, Mali or cities like Goulmima in the Valley of Morocco Rheris Shibam in Yemen, which is known as the Manhattan of the desert, its skyscrapers built entirely of earth are just some examples of architectural heritage built on land that still remains. This leads us to assert that the earth was, is and will be an excellent building material.

Land is a natural material of extraordinary abundance, corresponding to 74% of the earth’s crust, its presence is massive and zero cost. Today, still a third of the population lives in earthen houses, spread across the globe, in different environments, with different terrains and different climatologies.

The future is in the earth.”
