I recently got this email and have permission to share it:
I just wanted to show you our earthbag chicken coop that we finished a couple months ago. The plaster is not finished yet, just a couple earth coats. But we plan to finish it with lime here soon. I wanted to thank you for all your help. We are getting started on our next project in a couple weeks with the help of an instructor and workshop participants. Your book has been great.
Thanks again,
Cat Hermann
This is an awesome structure worthy enough for a primary residence for humans . Congratulations!!!
What is the internal diameter of the earthbag structure? What is the length of the rafters? Is it Possible to share plans.
I would guess that the internal diameter is about 12 feet and the rafters are about 20 feet. I don’t know about plans.
Reminds me of the Scottish stone’Brochs’; Iron Age forts.
I was wondering if that was Cat! I’m going to be the one leading that workshop later this month!
Great job I’ve lived in houses that were not this nice lucky chickens
