“Thinking about building your own Natural House? This is the in-depth workshop for you.
“This past month 34 high school students volunteered to build a house for women at Her Farm. Previously, one volunteer from Colorado had spent two weeks putting in the foundation for the first “earthbag” house to be built in this part of Nepal.
“We’re a small NGO on north coast of Tanzania run by a French couple who have decided to help the community in a Permaculture way. We’ve built our first dome a year ago then sand bag water cistern. ….Never followed any workshop since difficult for us but read and watched few videos. All your websites help us a lot, thanks again.
“There were many goals to be achieved with this training program. The final project was to leave them with 2 dorms; one for boys, one for girls, and one for the teacher. The nomads were to build it in order to learn how to build something, as they are not accustomed to building. We had trained 23 nomads on how to build domes with reclaimed rice and flour bags.
“We are H.O.M.E.Farm.org, a farm, homestead, permaculture demonstration site, and self-sufficiency classroom. H.O.M.E. is an acronym for Holistically Organized Multidisciplinary Endeavors. “Women from La Paz filmed themselves and tell their story about them building houses for their marginal children.” Note the earthbag domes and cobblestone floors they are building. Their floor technique is particularly interesting.
