Instructables.com is a major site that’s been very effective in promoting my natural building projects.

AUWA Earthbag Rural Retreat

Here’s another wonderful project by AUWA Earth. We’ve profiled them before, but this little house caught my eye when browsing their website again. And by the way, check out their slideshow that shows a very fast earthbag building system using raschel mesh tubes.
The Hempcrete Book

“The Hempcrete Book is the comprehensive, practical new book about building with hempcrete: a natural building material made from the chopped woody stem of the hemp plant (hemp “shivs”) and a lime-based binder. It is a non-loadbearing, sustainable, ‘breathable’ (vapor-permeable) and insulating material that can be used to form walls, floor slabs, ceilings and roof insulation in both new builds and restoration projects.
Climate Responsive Design

Climate responsive or climate appropriate design/ climate responsive architecture is discussed in a free 1993 ebook by Swiss authors Paul Gut and Dieter Ackerknecht. This book focuses on appropriate building construction in tropical and subtropical regions. This is an important topic because many times people forget to adapt designs to their specific building conditions.
