Spiral Chamber Composting Toilet
“I did a thatched roof on a composting toilet…the Spiral Chamber, a wattle and daub spiral. It is pretty sweet.
Sanitizer™ Evaporative Toilet
“I want to introduce you to our company, Clean Up America, Inc., and our product, the amazing Sanitizer™ Evaporative Toilet (Patent No. 9301659). We believe it would greatly complement your tiny house designs and provide your customers with a much more satisfactory form of sanitation than incendiary or composting toilets.
Ecosan Composting Toilet
Ecosan is a shortened term for ecological sanitation. It refers to a system of human toilet systems which separate solids and liquids at source, safely and in a hygienic manner without causing pollution; and uses the nutrient value contained in the waste for growing plants. Typical sanitation solutions have included the septic tank or simply a pit latrine. Both tend to pollute ground water and are environmentally unsatisfactory.
Vetiver Latrine
“In our world of ever evolving technology where we have access to an infinite amount of information through cell phones that can become out of date in six months, we sometime we take for granted the basics. It is easy to forget that more than one third (37%)(WHO 2012) of the global population does not have access to adequate sanitation. Sanitation is considered the greatest medical advancement attributed to almost doubling life expectancy (BMJ 2007). It is estimated that access to adequate sanitation can reduce infant mortality (Spears 2012) to reduce the 750,000 childhood deaths annually attributed to lack of sanitation(Li Lui et al 2010).
Natural Toilets
Jerry Epps at Teach Democracy.org shares his thoughts on three types of natural toilets. Jerry plans to have product for sale by November 1 this year. The natural toilets would be for use in remote areas anywhere they can use overland shipping (USA, Canada, Northern Mexico). Shipping product overseas is cost prohibitive.
Jerry hopes to franchise to other countries. He will teach them how to manufacture and assemble and they will be licensed as franchisee to do the business of marketing and sales of the Eppivent.
